George Lucas was born in May 14, 1944 in Modesto, California. His father was mainly British and Swiss-German and his mother was mainly German and Scots-Irish. His parents sold retail office supplies, so they can own a walnut ranch. Lucas has a younger sister, his younger sister fought with people who messed with Lucas. They would mess with him because he was short and scrawny. Before Lucas was not interested in movie making, he was interested in race car driving; he dreamed of becoming a professional race car driver. In June 12, 1962, he crashed his Autobianchi Bianchina in a car accident. It was difficult for the doctors to find a pulse for Lucas.
When he was recovering, he decided to go to college. Lucas attended Modesto Junior College, where he earned his AA degree and developed a passion for cinematography and camera tricks. Soon after, Lucas began to make films with is friend John Plummer. Their films were being shown all over San Francisco. Lucas then transferred to USC in Los Angeles and was influenced by the Filmic Expression course taught at the school. Then in 1967, he graduated USC with a bachelor of fine arts in film.
Lucas re-enrolled as a USC graduate student in 1967. He made the movie, Star Wars in 1977 and was able to set up his own studio, Lucasfilm. Lucas was paid $5 million U.S. dollars from Pixar. Later, Disney bought Pixar for about $7.4 billion dollars. Lucas's personal wealth was at US$ 3.5 billion in 2006. George Lucas dontated $175 million to USC in September 19, 2006.
Just because his dad had a business and they had a walnut farm doesn't mean they were poor. In fact, I think they were pretty middle class. There was another reason his sister fought for him. "would fight" is past. So, "messed with Lucas" would be proper. While he was knocked out after the car accident, he didn't think he was going to die. I think it was the medics who found him who thought he was dead. Lucas twice in that sentence is awkward. "...pulse for Lucas and Lucas t..." "soon later"??? What does that mean? Maybe soon after? "Then in 1967, He graduated USC" don't capitalize He.
ReplyDeleteLucas "was paid $5 million..."George Lucas dontated $175 million"...
Fix all that before I give you a grade.

Same thing then in the 2nd paragraph. "He attended Modesto Junior College, where Lucas had earned his..." makes it sound like the "he" is someone other than Lucas. And you don't need the word "had". He attended Modesto Junior College, where he earned his..."
